Ann Romney, "The Michigan Hands", And The Promise Of America

Ann Romney knows that Michiganders all come with a built in map.  Ask us where we're from, and we hold up our hand and point . . .  maybe to the "thumb" or perhaps somewhere near "the middle of the mitten"  It's kind of like a secret handshake, only better!

She also knows that we Michiganders are a hardy lot.  We farm, we fish, we build, and we manufacturer or at least we did before decades of progressive policies decimated our factories and ruined our economy. While driving into Detroit last Sunday to take in a Tigers baseball game it was heartbreaking to pass literally dozens of abandoned and decaying buildings.  Yet the ballpark was full of families, and people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and means.  Tiger fans, some unemployed, some down on their luck all rooted for the home team! Happy faces were plentiful.

My Grandson, Colin, enjoying an afternoon at the ballpark.

Ann Romney believes these Michiganders remember the promise of America and long for that promise's return.  Indeed, you could see it in the faces of the fans at Comerica Park, and you can feel it in the air here in the "middle of the mitten".  We remember. Furthermore, for the sake of all our grandsons and daughters, we will do everything we can to elect a President who will help us restore that promise.
