John Brennan Takes His Oath Of Office . . .

. . . on an early draft of the U. S. Constitution.  A draft so early that it's missing the Bill of Rights. All together now --

 "OH, the irony!"

But wait, there's more. Brennan isn't the first to take an oath of office on an alternative to the customary Bible. In January, Representative Kyrsten Sinema (D - Ariz.) took her oath of office on a copy of the Constitution, though her copy probably included the Bill of Rights.  Also, in 2007, Representative Keith Ellison put his hand on a copy of the Quran while being sworn into office.
