Looking Forward to 2014

. . . Is this the best we can do?
Disgraced ex-governor Mark Sanford cleared the first hurdle of his political comeback bid on Tuesday night, earning a spot in a South Carolina runoff for the GOP nomination in his former congressional district.
And
Former Florida governor Charlie Crist might be making a comeback in 2014. A new Quinnipiac poll finds that the Republican turned independent turned Democrat leads Gov. Rick Scott (R) 50 to 34 percent among registered voters in the state.
Really?  Is this what we have to look forward to in 2014?  I sure hope not, but unless get motivated and moving we are in for a world of disappointment! (We might even wake up on Nov. 5, 2014 to find Ashley Judd sitting in the US Senate)

But fortunately, it's not all bad news . . .
Four months after she narrowly lost a Utah congressional race to Democrat Jim Matheson, Republican Mia Love says she is "seriously looking" at another run for the seat.

While attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., over the weekend, Love said that she hasn't made a decision yet but said she's ready to fight for Matheson's seat again.
That IS good news. If it doesn't get you off the couch and out the door there's little hope that anything will! (and little likelihood that Love's effort will be successful)
