This morning's headline:
Susan Rice will replace Tom Donilon as national security adviser, the White House is expected to announce Wednesday.
Rice, currently the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, will be formally introduced in her new role by President Barack Obama at 2 p.m. ET. A White House official says Samantha Power, a former special assistant to the president on the National Security Council, will be nominated to replace Susan Rice as the U.N. ambassador. You remember Susan! She dutifully perpetuated the Obama administration's lie blaming the Benghazi debacle on a poorly made anti-Muslim YouTube video. To reward her obedience/loyalty, The President, who took offence that almost NO ONE (not even some in his devoted mainstream media) bought Ms. Rice's unconvincing claims, has appointed her as National Security Advisor. Conveniently, this position doesn't require Senate approval, and the ambassador will not be subjected to confirmation hearing where her decision to disseminate erroneous information would most certainly be questioned.
You can bet that Mr. Obama will have a self satisfied smile on his face as he parades Ambassador Rice out in front of the press at 2:00pm today. It's certain that our petulant President considers this a personal victory . . . and a stick in the eye to those who refused to believe Ms. Rice's and the administration's fictitious account of events in Benghazi.
Meanwhile, we can all be assured that the individual advising our President on national security issues is either A: An imminently qualified liar, or B: Supremely clueless!
. . . Sleep well tonight!
